FREE WORKSHOPS FOR YOUTH AND UNIVERSITY GROUPS
FREE WORKSHOPS FOR YOUTH AND UNIVERSITY GROUPS. The Icarus Theatre Collective is pleased to present a series of workshops to accompany our production of Rip Her To Shreds at the Old Red Lion theatre. Rip Her To Shreds is an exciting new play by Grant Corr, which focuses on the life of a gay transvestite teenager in 1980's Ireland. With no holds barred, this is a raw and emotional look at the struggle to be yourself. (For more on the play, see our website at http://icarustheatre.co.uk) Workshops are FREE for groups who book tickets to the production, at the specially discounted group rate of £7 per ticket. Following on last year's successful series of Othello and Journey's End workshops, we have developed five workshops, each of which can be adapted to fit the needs of your group, covering such topics as homophobic bullying, LGBT characters in film, Stanislavski and the actor, and the historical context of the play. For more information, please see the attached leaflet. Each workshop is 90 minutes long and will be led by a workshop leader and an actor from the company (subject to the actors' performance schedule). If you have any questions or would like to book a workshop, please contact Margaret on 0207 998 1562 or 07855 414 768. Thank you very much; we look forward to hearing from you.
